What do I have for you today? I wanted share a bit of my background, as well as how this shop began. In June 2019, I was in a place that no one should ever be. In the spring of 2019, my therapist diagnosed me with several mental conditions that had been severely affecting my life and quality of living. This all brought on a new understanding to not only myself, but how it may have affected others around me at work and in personal relationships.

 

At the time, after almost 15 years working with large Fortune 500 companies, I decided it was time to find myself.

Self-care and self-love were my new goals; something I never took the time to focus on during all of my professional and life experiences. I started with self-care and included things that I enjoyed in my life, such as vintage shopping. In my mind, it all started with the idea of a shop where I could keep my things I love in one place.

What does vintage mean? Vintage means something from an earlier time in history, but what defines vintage varies. For example, you would refer to a car from the 1960s or 70s as vintage, but not an antique. An antique would be something that is much older than 100 years old.

Being passionate about crystals and gemstones, I wanted to see what I could do with my knowledge in regards to metaphysical properties of crystals and their ability to aid humans in their day-to-day lives. I also wanted to see what it would be like to shop for them myself, as well as what others may want out of the process. I started using my knowledge on crystals, stones, minerals, rocks, agate, and minerals to create pieces that are unique and beautiful!

 

I created this store in loving memory of my best friend, Abby, my Chocolate Lab, and best friend who moved into her afterlife on August 7, 2020. Abby had a private cremation, adorned by Rose Quartz for love, Selenite for transition, Palo Santo with memories, and will be back home soon I saw her in everything that came into the shop.

This is also my way of sharing with others that no matter the distance, you will always be home in spirit. In honor of Abby and all she brought into my life during her time on Earth, I dedicate this shop to her memory. May our souls never forget each other, and may you see me when I see you from time to time. Rest in Peace Pretty Girl, I love you .
